Spray tan Do's and Dont's
We want you to love your fresh airbrush tan and have a flawless finish, please follow the instructions below so you're ready to GLOW! Spray tans should be done as close to your event or vacation date as possible, 24-48 hours is ideal.
Exfoliation
Exfoliation is so important we are putting it at the top! Without removing the built up dead skin your airbrush tan may not settle as evenly as expected. Please ensure you have exfoliated well prior to your appointment. Loofa's and scrubs smell and feel nice but they don't go deep enough. Try our exfoliating mitt for perfect prep every time!
Dark Loose Clothing
Although our bronzer will almost always wash away from clothing and sheets we recommend dark clothing and sheets to avoid colour transfer. Long dark loose clothes are your BFF for development and help wick away sweat while sleeping if you're planning to develop overnight. Skip the bra. Yoga pants (tights) are NOT considered loose.
Avoid Water
Please avoid water for 6 hours prior to your tan and 12 hours after. This is your development stage and splishing and splashing during this time can result in uneven finishes.
Avoid Lotions, Oils and Perfume
Although lotions and oils help to hydrate our skin, please avoid them before your spray tan. Most store bought lotions and oils will have ingredients that can strip your tan so we recommend using our signature luxurious Hydrate Me. This formula is a Sulphate & Paraben free formula, comes in recycled packaging and is never tested on animals. Loaded with Shea Butter, Aloe and nutritious vitamins all to preserve your gorgeous glow. Find it in studio, at your appointment or online in the link below.
What to wear in your Tan
Our airbrush artists are professional and accustomed to spray tanning nude, but please wear what makes you comfortable. Please note; that anything you wear in your tan will leave lines.
lashing appointments
Remove all Makeup
Please avoid wearing makeup to your lashing appointment. Mascara can hinder the adhesion of extensions, and tints will not be able to penetrate the lash. Ensuring all your makeup is removed thoroughly allows us more time to apply extensions and avoids frustration over poor retention of extensions, or colour pick up of tints.
Contact Lenses
If you wear contacts, please bring along a case to safely stow them as you can not wear them for any lashing appointments provided. Bring along your glasses to start and end your appointment with ease.
Post Application
You will need to avoid any type of steam and water on your lashes for 48 hours post application. This allows the adhesive to fully cure and for your tint to pick up and provide the best result. It's advised to have a good shower and wash your hair prior to your lashing appointment.
Filling your lashes
Everyone is unique and has a different lash shed cycle. You can expect to fill your lashes anywhere between 2-3.5 weeks of your last appointment. Shed cycles can be affected by changes in humidity (going on vacation) and even by the seasons! Spring and Fall tend to see higher and faster shed rates and may require fills sooner than normal.
Taking Care of Lash Extensions
Your lash extensions are an investment. They will save you time getting ready in the morning, money on mascara and prevent damage from mechanical curlers. It is recommended to wash your extensions and your lids to avoid naturally occurring oils and old makeup from affecting the adhesion resulting in poor retention. You can buy lash wash with us at your appointment or in our online store for pick up in studio in the link below.
Mobile Lashing
At this time, Lavishly YYC does NOT offer mobile lash extensions. Our adhesives are effective in a range of humidity that we can't control outside of the studio.

Ok, maybe it's not that noticeable, regardless our in studio smile whitening and brightening will have you showing off your pearly whites to everyone.

Before Your Whitening
Ensuring you have regular dental appointments and cleanings is not only part of your overall oral health, it's recommended to use in conjunction with our whitening system. Having a dental cleaning within the last 6 months is ideal.
